Illuminated Business Signs
If your business needs to be noticeable at night, your signage may need to be illuminated. Illuminated signs are what we consider any sign (dimensional letters, channel letters, light box signs, or any fabricated sign) with a lighting feature. The lighting feature can be done in many different ways depending on the type of sign – it could be backlit, front lit or internally lit using all sorts of lighting – LEDs, spotlights, neon, etc.
If you want an illuminated sign, first check out our pages on:
- Dimensional sign letters
- Routed signs
- Channel letter signs
- Light Box Signs / Illuminated Cabinet Signs
- And Digital Display Boards
All of these signs can be illuminated to meet your specific goals – however, there are different methods of illuminating each.
Having an illuminated sign requires electrical expertise for technical accuracy, safety, and permitting purposes. We can coordinate electric requirements as necessary.

Pricing for illuminated signage depends on multiple factors including type of sign, size, color, material, illumination strategy, location, and installation. Once we have a firm grasp of your sign needs, which usually occurs after we have performed a site survey and contacted the city planner to discuss the sign options for your location, we will be able to send you a rough estimate of the project cost.
Our team consists of talented production and graphic design staff with impressive industry experience. The price we estimate for your project includes all production costs and may include two rounds of design for your signage (this may vary depending on your situation). We recommend that you work directly with us to create the designs for your sign. If you have worked with another designer on the sign, we may have to make changes to the design to fit the sign requirements by the permitting office (if required).
Production time for illuminated signage varies based on the same factors as pricing: size, color, material, illumination strategy, location, and installation. Typically, we can provide a timeline for completion once the sign package has been approved by all parties including you (the client), your landlord, and the permitting office.
Material delays, weather, and holidays may impact timelines for these projects. We will try to meet your deadlines, however, sign creation is a complex process and requires time to be done correctly.
